Fall Weekend Trips

Huntsville State Park Kayaking

The Woods Project will be partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife spending Saturday night camping at Huntsville State Park. On Saturday, the group will be split so everyone will spend a half day out on the water kayaking and the other half day hiking, geocaching, and fishing. Students will depart from the campground and head back to the ARC for pickup Sunday afternoon. Registration deadline 11/13/26

Little Thicket Nature Sanctuary

The Woods Project will be returning to Little Thicket Nature Sanctuary for a relaxing weekend of camping! This privately-owned sanctuary will be reserved just for TWP, and students will spend Saturday doing day hikes and a service project. Our weekend trip will end on Sunday and students will return to the TWP Office for pickup Sunday afternoon. Registration deadline 11/13/26

TRIP LEADERS REGISTER HERE!

STUDENTS REGISTER HERE!

Leaders please note:  The trip signup is your opportunity to make your preferences and availability for our weekend trips known.  We will make our best effort to place you on the trip(s) that you have requested.  However, due to limits on capacity, as well as the need to maintain a reasonable adult:student ratio, there may be trips where we do not have space for every leader who would like to attend. We will follow up by email 1-2 weeks prior to our weekend trips with details and all the information you will need for attending.  Thank you!
