SUMMARY:Annual Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Reserve your seat today!\nJoin us at our Annual Luncheon to meet The Woods Project alumni\, hear their inspiring stories of transformation\, and learn more about how we are changing the life trajectory of Houston students. \nThe Woods Project trip changes lives in a thousand different ways.  In the woods\, students gain new confidence\, develop critical life and leadership skills\, and find a renewed drive to succeed against all odds. \nThe Annual Luncheon provides a unique opportunity to meet students from our program\, as they will be seated at your table and will share the impact The Woods Project experiences have had on their life and how they plan to use the skills they learned along the trails in school and in life. \nEvent and Table Sponsorships Available\, contact Jessi Manley\, 816-507-3661 or jessi@thewoodsproject.org for info. Your support will help change lives as we expand our wilderness immersion programs and provide experiential learning experiences to even more high-potential Houston high school students from under-resourced communities!

SUMMARY:Parent Meetings: Impact100 Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:It’s summer at The Woods Project!\nTo kick off our summer trips we host informational meetings for students and parents so they can see what our summer program entails. We would love a handful of volunteers that can help with check in and if possible translation. We have students from different schools and organizations show up to each meeting.  We will have a few parents that speak primarily Spanish\, French\, or Vietnamese. Having a volunteer that can help translate our responses and help parents ask their question would be fantastic! Of course\, if you don’t speak a second language no worries! Your help checking students in and guiding them to the meeting room would be incredibly helpful! \nThe meeting itself starts at 6:30 p.m. We ask that you show up at 5:30 to help set up the check-in table and possibly the room. \nImpact100 Volunteers only \nWednesday\, April 16: Register here. \nNOTE: If this is your first time volunteering this year or it’s been a while\, please take a few minutes to complete our Event Volunteer Registration Form. If you have questions please reach out to diana@thewoodsproject.org.

Once again\, we will be separating the snack\, hot cocoa\, and oatmeal sorting from our gear pack-outs. We will meet at the warehouse and set up tables and bins. The activity involves counting out a variety of snacks\, oatmeal\, or cocoa packets and putting them in 2 gal bags. We will also prepare the travel day snack bags the students will take on their Airport Day. It’s a simple activity but time consuming due to the volume and diversity of snacks. \nAmegyBank Registration Link.

SUMMARY:Airport Day – Donner Group 2
DESCRIPTION:It’s AIRPORT DAY!\nWe need your help! Join The Woods Project at both George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and or William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) as we send off around 200 students and 60 volunteers for their life-changing 2 week wilderness immersion experiences in California\, Colorado\, and Washington. \nWe have 7 flights departing between June 14th through June 28th. Please allow adequate time to get to the terminals\, if you decide on satellite parking. \nFollow this link and select “Donner 2” to register for Thursday\, June 25th\, 4:15 a.m. at William P.
