SUMMARY:Fall Weekend Trip #3
DESCRIPTION:Little Thicket Backpacking\nWe will be returning to the amazing Little Thicket Nature Sanctuary to practice out backpacking! Students will be split into backpacking groups and emulate a packout (similar to the Summer) before heading out and hiking the sanctuary trails for most of the day. By the end of the trip\, students will have a basic understanding of backpacking principles and will have practiced backpacking with gear and weight.. Registration deadline 11/28/25 \nREGISTER HERE!  \nPlease note:  The trip signup is your opportunity to make your preferences and availability for our weekend trips known.  We will make our best effort to place you on the trip(s) that you have requested.  However\, due to limits on capacity\, as well as the need to maintain a reasonable adult:student ratio\, there may be trips where we do not have space for every leader who would like to attend. We will follow up by email 1-2 weeks prior to our weekend trips with details and all the information you will need for attending.  Thank you!

DESCRIPTION:Armand Bayou Nature Center\nStudents will spend the morning and afternoon exploring this large and diverse urban wilderness. It houses a few different ecosystems and students will participate in a service project along with taking a guided educational tour of the site. Transportation will be provided for this workshop due to the distance. DESCRIPTION:Stephen F. Austin State Park Hiking\nThe Woods Project will be spending Saturday night camping at Stephen F. Austin State Park. On Saturday\, the group will be split so everyone will spend a half day learning and the other half day exploring the park.
