DESCRIPTION:Memorial Park Backpacking Weekend Workshop\nTake a hike in Memorial Park with TWP and friends! Get your hands on our backpacking gear and get in a good workout! We will be simulating a backpacking experience by hiking around Memorial Park with packs; this is a great opportunity to test out what a Summer Trip is like! Registration deadline 2/1/25 \nREGISTRATION CLOSED \nPlease note:  The trip signup is your opportunity to make your preferences and availability for our weekend trips known.  We will make our best effort to place you on the trip(s) that you have requested.  However\, due to limits on capacity\, as well as the need to maintain a reasonable adult:student ratio\, there may be trips where we do not have space for every leader who would like to attend. We will follow up by email 1-2 weeks prior to our weekend trips with details and all the information you will need for attending.  Thank you!

SUMMARY:Spring Weekend Trip #1
DESCRIPTION:Brazos Bend Stargazing\nWe will be doing some hiking\, exploration\, and stargazing of this nearby 4\,897-acre state park. Brazos Bend is known for its alligator population and unique features to this part of Texas\, so come ready to see some incredible wildlife while spending the day outside exploring. Depending on availability\, we will visit the on-site observatory for some stargazing Saturday night. Saturday night will be spent camping at Brazos Bend\, and the trip will run from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon. SUMMARY:Summer Food Pack
DESCRIPTION:The Woods Project needs your help as we prepare backpacking meals for our 2025 summer trips. We will be preparing over a thousand dinner servings for the back country\, and we cannot put it all together without your help. Please bring a refillable water bottle and comfortable clothes. We will provide a light dinner and drinks. Contact diana@thewoodsproject.org with any questions. \nAll volunteers that have not submitted an Event Volunteer Form\, must do so before registering. Thank you\, we look forward to seeing you at the TWP office! \nRegistration closed. Due to an overwhelming response we have plenty of volunteers for the Food Pack! Thank you!
