DESCRIPTION:Run\, Walk\, Donate\, or Volunteer to Help Us Make a Difference!\n\nThe Houston Marathon is an annual marathon held every January in Houston\, Texas. With thousands of runners and spectators\, it is the largest single day sporting event in the city. It is run concurrently with a half marathon. \n\n\nThe Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon will take place on Sunday\, Jan. 19\, 2025. \nThe We Are Houston 5K presented by Aramco and Chevron will take place on Saturday\, Jan. 18\, 2025. \nFor information on how to register for this event please visit our page on the Chevron Houston Marathon website.

SUMMARY:MLK Day of Service- Gear Inventory & Trip Prep
DESCRIPTION:Due to the chance of  freezing temperatures we have decided to make some changes to our annual MLK Day of Service.  Our focus will move away from doing lots of counts and instead shift towards getting things prepped for our upcoming trips. We are changing the location and the time to avoid the worst of the weather. \nWe will meet at The Woods Project Offices located on 2700 Southwest Freeway at 10 a.m.  \nPlease dress comfortably\, and bring a refillable water bottle.  We will have donuts and coffee at 10 a.m. and lunch will be provided at 12:30 p.m. \nIf you have not volunteered with us before\, please fill out our event volunteer form ahead of time for yourself and for anyone that comes with you. \nIf you have any questions\, please contact Diana Liga at diana@thewoodsproject.org. \nEvent is full.
