SUMMARY:Daytime Volunteers Needed
DESCRIPTION:At The Woods Project we always strive to improve our program and serve our students in the best way possible. To get more done in a timely manner we are hoping to have volunteers sign up for shifts throughout the week. Shifts will be variable each week as the workload and needs change. In office tasks may include working on various kits\, club supplies\, data entry\, creating summer leader manuals\, or even making calls to students. Another task but located at the front of the Red Cross will be Saturday trip departures that involve helping leaders and teachers get students loaded onto the correct bus. \nI am also adding some warehouse tasks that involve loading up the Uhaul on Friday packouts and unloading it on their Sunday returns. In general\, there will be different tasks every week. If you are interested\, please sign-up below to be added to my daytime volunteer email list. It does not sign you up for a specific shift but adds you to the email list that will notify you when our shifts are created. I will send out registration links for specific shifts every 2 to 4 weeks. \nIf you want to see what shifts we currently available REGISTER HERE. \nBecause many of these tasks may only require a handful of people\, you will need to register. Once you register for a specific shift you will receive a confirmation along with information about the location\, expected task and staff person in charge. \nAs always\, our wonderful volunteers are the only way we make things happen with a small staff. Thank you!

SUMMARY:Fall Weekend Trip
DESCRIPTION:Lake Livingston Kayaking\nThe Woods Project will once again be partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife through Texas Outdoor Families. We will spend both Friday and Saturday nights camping along the shores of Lake Livingston at Lake Livingston State Park. SUMMARY:Event Support Volunteer
DESCRIPTION:Do you like going the extra mile? We need a handful of volunteers that can help before and at times after an event. We have two categories of events: support for weekend trip departures and support for general events. \nSupport for Weekend Trip Departures involves arriving 30 minutes before the students arrive. Tasks can include helping with food\, helping staff load supplies\, student check-in\, and directing students to the correct bus. After the bus has departed you help with clean-up and taking things back to the office. \nSupport for General Events usually involves showing up 30 to 45 minutes before other volunteers and helping with food set up\, gate management\, or volunteer check-in. It helps to have volunteered at a prior TWP event. The shift is also shorter since the support volunteers are not expected to stay through the entire event. \nThe location will be listed after each shift. Also. Specific instructions will be sent out a few days before the shift. I will add the contact information for the staff person in charge during your shift. If this is the first time you have volunteered for The Woods Project please be sure to complete our Event Volunteer Form beforehand. If you are interested in volunteering for some of our other events\, please visit our TWP Calendar of Events. Thanks! \nRegister for a Shift
