SUMMARY:Fall Weekend Trip
DESCRIPTION:Huntsville State Park Kayaking\nThe Woods Project will be partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife spending Saturday night camping at Huntsville State Park. On Saturday\, the group will be split so everyone will spend a half day out on the water kayaking and the other half day hiking\, geocaching\, and fishing. Students will depart from the campground and head back to the ARC for pickup Sunday afternoon. Registration deadline 11/13/26 \nRegistration Link Coming Soon!\nPlease note:  The trip signup is your opportunity to make your preferences and availability for our weekend trips known.  We will make our best effort to place you on the trip(s) that you have requested.  However\, due to limits on capacity\, as well as the need to maintain a reasonable adult:student ratio\, there may be trips where we do not have space for every leader who would like to attend. We will follow up by email 1-2 weeks prior to our weekend trips with details and all the information you will need for attending.  Thank you!

SUMMARY:Houston Marathon Volunteers Needed
DESCRIPTION:Run\, Walk\, Donate\, or Volunteer to Help Us Make a Difference!\n\nThe Houston Marathon is an annual marathon held every January in Houston\, Texas for over 50 years. With thousands of runners and spectators\, this is the largest single-day sporting event in the city. \nThe Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon races will take place on Sunday\, Jan. 17\, 2027. \nThe We Are Houston 5K presented by Aramco and Chevron race will take place on Saturday\, Jan. 16\, 2027. \nThe Chevron Houston Marathon Run for a Reason (RFAR) charity program connects the philanthropic community to passionate race participants willing to raise funds and create awareness for meaningful causes. The Woods Project is honored to participate as a nonprofit partner for the 2027 events. We are recruiting runners to our marathon team for all races: 5K\, the half and full marathons. Runners can sign up to fundraise for their registration or can sign up to be HEROs. \nFor information on how to support TWP and register for these events\, please visit our fundraising page on the Chevron Houston Marathon website. \nIf you’re interested in volunteering with TWP during the race weekend\, please go to our Chevron Volunteer page and sign up for a shift. SUMMARY:MLK Day of Service: Summer Prep
DESCRIPTION:Please join us at our MLK Day of Service . This year our focus will move away from just doing counts and shift towards getting things prepped for our upcoming spring and summer trips.
