SUMMARY:Summer Food & Snack Sorting
DESCRIPTION:Summer Food and Snack Sorting\nDo you like to sort and organize things? If so\, we could use your help! Once again\, we will be separating the snack\, hot cocoa\, and oatmeal sorting from our gear pack-outs. We will meet at the warehouse and set up tables and bins. The activity involves counting out a variety of snacks\, oatmeal\, or cocoa packets and putting them in 2 gal bags. We will also prepare the travel day snack bags the students will take on their Airport Day. It’s a simple activity but time consuming due to the volume and diversity of snacks. \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Parent Meetings: Volunteers Needed
DESCRIPTION:It’s summer at The Woods Project!\nTo kick off our summer trips we host informational meetings for students and parents so they can see what our summer program entails. We would love a handful of volunteers that can help with check in and if possible translation. We have students from different schools and organizations show up to each meeting.  We will have a few parents that speak primarily Spanish\, French\, or Vietnamese. Having a volunteer that can help translate our responses and help parents ask their question would be fantastic! Of course\, if you don’t speak a second language no worries! Your help checking students in and guiding them to the meeting room is would be incredibly helpful! \nThe meeting itself starts at 6:30 p.m. We ask that you show up at 5:30 to help set up the check-in table and possibly the room. This year we are meeting at the front building\, (the main building) of the American Red Cross. \nRegister for a shift here. \nTuesday\, April 15 \nTuesday\, April 22 \nWednesday\, April 30 \nIf you have questions please reach out to diana@thewoodsproject.org.
