SUMMARY:Parent Meetings: Impact100 Volunteers
DESCRIPTION:It’s summer at The Woods Project!\nTo kick off our summer trips we host informational meetings for students and parents so they can see what our summer program entails. We would love a handful of volunteers that can help with check in and if possible translation. We have students from different schools and organizations show up to each meeting.  We will have a few parents that speak primarily Spanish\, French\, or Vietnamese. Having a volunteer that can help translate our responses and help parents ask their question would be fantastic! Of course\, if you don’t speak a second language no worries! Your help checking students in and guiding them to the meeting room would be incredibly helpful! \nThe meeting itself starts at 6:30 p.m. We ask that you show up at 5:30 to help set up the check-in table and possibly the room. \nImpact100 Volunteers only \nThursday\, April 16: Register here. \nNOTE: If this is your first time volunteering this year or it’s been a while\, please take a few minutes to complete our Event Volunteer Registration Form. If you have questions please reach out to diana@thewoodsproject.org.

SUMMARY:Daytime Volunteers Needed!
DESCRIPTION:Daytime Volunteers Needed!\n  \nAt The Woods Project we always strive to improve our program and serve our students in the best way possible. To get more done in a timely manner we are hoping to have volunteers sign up for shifts throughout the week. Shifts will be variable each week as the workload and needs change. In office tasks may include working on various kits\, club supplies\, data entry\, creating summer leader manuals\, or even making calls to students. Another task but located at the front of the Red Cross will be Saturday trip departures that involve helping leaders and teachers get students loaded onto the correct bus. \nI am also adding some warehouse tasks that involve loading up the Uhaul on Friday packouts and unloading it on their Sunday returns. In general\, there will be different tasks every week. If you are interested\, please sign-up below to be added to my daytime volunteer email list. It does not sign you up for a specific shift but adds you to the email list that will notify you when our shifts are created. I will send out registration links for specific shifts every 2 to 4 weeks. \nIf you want to see what shifts we currently available REGISTER HERE. \nBecause many of these tasks may only require a handful of people\, you will need to register. Once you register for a specific shift you will receive a confirmation along with information about the location\, expected task and staff person in charge. \nAs always\, our wonderful volunteers are the only way we make things happen with a small staff. Thank you!

SUMMARY:Daytime Volunteers Email List
DESCRIPTION:Daytime Volunteers Needed!\n  \nAt The Woods Project we always strive to improve our program and serve our students in the best way possible. To get more done in a timely manner we are hoping to have volunteers sign up for shifts throughout the week. Shifts will be variable each week as the workload and needs change. In office tasks may include working on various kits\, club supplies\, data entry\, or even calls to students. \nBecause many of these tasks may only require a handful of people\, you will need to register. Once you register for a specific shift you will receive a confirmation along with information about the location\, expected task and staff person in charge. \nAs always\, our wonderful volunteers are the only way we make things happen with a small staff. Thank you! \nSign-up to be on the list!

SUMMARY:Airport Day – Olympic Group 3
DESCRIPTION:It’s AIRPORT DAY!\nWe need your help! Join The Woods Project at both George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and or William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) as we send off 180 students and 60 volunteers for their life-changing 2 week wilderness immersion experiences in California and Washington. \nWe have 7 flights departing between June 15th through June 29th. We need volunteers on the ground to help our student groups maneuver through the check-in process along with helping to set up and distribute materials they will need for their journey. This is a great way to connect with our students and encourage them as they embark on their journey. \nParking: Volunteers can park close to the Terminals or choose satellite parking. Please allow adequate time to get to the terminals\, if you decide on satellite parking. \nFollow this link and select “Olympic 3” to register for Sunday\, June 29th\, 5:30 a.m. at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).  \nQuestions or have a group interested in volunteering – reach out to diana@thewoodsproject.org.

SUMMARY:Airport Day - Donner Group 2
DESCRIPTION:It’s AIRPORT DAY!\nWe need your help! Join The Woods Project at William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) as we send off around 180 students and 60 volunteers for their life-changing 2 week wilderness immersion experiences in California and Washington. \nWe have 7 flights departing between June 15th through June 29th. For many of our students\, this will be their first time on a plane – an exciting and nervous time! \nFollow this link and select “Donner 2” to register for Wednesday\, June 25th\, 5 a.m. at William P. Hobby Airport (Hobby). If you are unable to register please email me at diana@thewoodsproject.org.\n \nQuestions or have a group interested in volunteering – reach out to diana@thewoodsproject.org.
