SUMMARY:Weekend Workshop: Backpacking in Memorial Park
DESCRIPTION:Join The Woods Project in Houston’s largest park for a chance to get your hands on gear and putting on a loaded backpack.  We will pack our very own backpack\, make our lunch\, and head out for a hike with the gear.  You will learn how to fit a backpack and all the other components needed to start backpacking.  We will find a spot on the trail and stop and have lunch\, play a few games\, before heading back to the cars.\n\nInterested in volunteering? DESCRIPTION:REGISTER TODAY!      www.walkforthewoodsproject.org \nWalk for The Woods Project brings TWP students and supporters together for a 5K walking tour through the historic East End neighborhood and along the Buffalo Bayou\, ending with family fun\, food\, and live music at BakerRipley Ripley House.  It is our most important fundraiser of the year and promises to be a great morning of community\, meeting TWP students\, and fun! \nAdditionally\, what makes this Walk unique is the student stops found throughout the route\, where walkers will get to meet the incredible students that have benefited from our program.
